Jana is a native of Glen Rose and still lives in Somervell County. She attended Tarleton State University and received her BA in Art. After several years of teaching high school art, Jana retired to focus on family, home, and her own art.

Growing up near the Paluxy River, she feels like she has a personal and spiritual connection to it and it is a favorite subject for her to paint, in addition to flowers, portraits and still life. Her love for nature is evident in her work.

Jana works in a variety of media in the style of realism and enjoys doing commissions. Her work can be found in several private collections.
